On the afternoon of October 3, 2025, photos circulated online claiming that well-known car reviewer Chen Zhen was involved in a traffic accident.

Local traffic police confirmed to Jimu News reporters that an accident did occur on that road section around 3 PM, and it is currently being investigated.

Leaked photos show a Rolls-Royce Spectre badly damaged in the middle of the road, with airbags deployed. A person outside the car is suspected to be Chen Zhen. Reporters compared the license plate with earlier media reports and found it matched Chen Zhen’s car. Some netizens said the accident happened on Wanshou Road.

At 4:54 PM the same day, Chen Zhen updated a post on Weibo, but by 7 PM he had not publicly addressed the incident.

At 7:20 PM, Jimu News reporters again contacted the local traffic police. The duty officer confirmed that an accident did happen on Wanshou Road around 3 PM and is still under investigation. Details about the vehicle and driver have not yet been confirmed.

Chen Zhen is a well-known car reviewer in China. He first became famous in 2005 for driving around Beijing’s 2nd Ring Road (32.7 km) in just 13 minutes, earning the nickname ‘Prince Ring Road Thirteen’. Later, he turned professional and started a car review show in 2014 called Luobo Report. Now he has over 20 million followers across platforms, and more than 10 million on Weibo, the first car reviewer to reach that. He’s known for blunt opinions and also for several traffic accidents.

Some Chinese netizens’ comments are as followed:

“Looks like Chen Zhen didn’t even buy commercial insurance for this car.”

“Oh wow, so Rolls-Royce even makes EVs?”

“Just another ‘paid reviewer’.”

“He was driving the wrong way, crossing into the yellow line.”

“This guy always said the Zunjie S800 is the best car in the world and only recommended Zunjie. But behind the scenes he drives a Rolls-Royce Spectre?”

“Imagine if he had crashed into a Xiaomi car, the internet would’ve exploded.”

“I heard he never buys commercial insurance for any car.”

“Speeding and driving against traffic.”

“A ‘professional’ reviewer driving like that? Shouldn’t be happening.”

“Is this some kind of staged drama?”

“He was filming while driving.”

“Chen Zhen isn’t short of money. If he crashes, he crashes.”

“Honestly, I think this is a good thing.”

“When will they ban him already?”

“How did someone like him even become an influencer?”

“A Rolls-Royce in a crash, hard to believe.”

“This guy endangers himself and others.”

“Probably distracted by his phone. He lacks the self-discipline a public figure should have. When something happens, he just makes videos defending himself. I unfollowed him two years ago.”

“He drives with such bad vibes. I once commented under his post, and his fans ganged up on me.”

“Serves him right. He’s the most annoying guy in the car scene, talks too much and pretends to be smart.”

“Always mouthing off online. No respect.”

“Damn, that car costs 7 million RMB. Even rich people would bleed inside.”

“At least the car quality held up. Didn’t catch fire or explode.”
